Boog van Constantijn. Opgericht ter gelegenheid van de overwinning van Constantijn op Maxentius bij de Ponte Milvio (312 na Chr.) Voor de versieringen werden reliëfs van oudere monumenten gebruikt. Cirkelvormige reliëfs uit de tijd van Hadrianus. Links: berenjacht; rechts: offer aan Diana. Fries daaronder: oorlogsscène (4e eeuw, Rome).

The Arch of Constantine (Italian: Arco di Costantino), triumphal arch erected to commemorate Constantine's victory over Maxentius at the Battle of Milvian Bridge on October 28, 312. Dedicated in 315, it is the latest of the existing triumphal arches in Rome, from which it differs by spolia, the extensive re-use of parts of earlier buildings (Rome).
